In fact, many of the innovations introduced by Benjamin Obdyke over the years have been brought to us through your ideas.
The advantage of collaborating with us includes a respect for the confidential nature of your work and a desire to have you, the inventor, rewarded for your idea. We have arranged many royalty agreements that ensure the inventor participates in a successful new product they helped conceive.
The process begins with a Confidentiality Agreement and the Idea Submission Form. Print out the documents, fill out where indicated, sign and mail it to the address at the bottom of this page. Please be sure to include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and a brief description of your idea that does not divulge anything confidential in nature.
When Benjamin Obdyke receives the Confidentiality Agreement (along with the Idea Submission Form), a business development representative will sign it, and a copy will be returned to you in no more than a week. Once you’ve received the copy, this is your "green light" to contact the person indicated on the returned form to discuss your idea in strict confidence.
If your idea is already patented and a matter of public record, you can go right to the Idea Submission Form. Print this out, fill it out and return it, with a copy of your patent, to the address below. A Benjamin Obdyke business development representative will contact you within a week.
We trust you will find working with us to be a positive experience. If your idea is a good one, but just not right for us, we'll tell you early on and make some suggestions as to who your idea might be right for. If your idea is right for us, you'll find that we have the development, procurement, manufacturing, marketing, and sales organization to make it successful.
