Product Support SpecialistHorsham, PA
An innovator for more than 140 years within the residential construction products industry, and a company committed to employee development, Benjamin Obdyke Incorporated is seeking a candidate with 1-5 years work and/or intern experience with a good blend of business and engineering/technical expertise to assist in the ongoing technical support of existing products, as well as development of new products.
The position will manage the ongoing technical support of existing products and assist in the development of new products.. This position could lead to further opportunities within technical marketing, research and development, product engineering, product management, and/or project engineering/management. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to make an immediate, visible impact on a growth-oriented company.

Specific job responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Develop knowledge of construction techniques and principles in targeted market areas.
• Understand existing Benjamin Obdyke products – how they function, the need they meet for building professionals, and how they are manufactured.
• Investigate and evaluate manufacturing technologies for fit with Benjamin Obdyke business model.
• Provide technical support such as installation advice, quality control, competitive feature analysis, presentations etc. to other areas of the company assisting in the marketing and sales of our products.
• Participate in the market or field-testing of new product concepts.
• Coordinate and execute lab testing for new Benjamin Obdyke product concepts during development process.
• Manage and execute product testing and certification programs in support of marketing plans for new and existing products.
• Manage the R&D warehouse, inventory of existing & competitive products, prototypes & tools
• Participate in other phases of product evaluation and launch processes as directed by Benjamin Obdyke’s Product Development Manager.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Ability to learn, understand and apply construction principles and techniques
3. Demonstrated Project Management experience
4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
5. Ability to effectively work in a team oriented environment
6. Some travel (15%-30%) required
7. Specific industry experience not required
